What is the 100 Open Startups Ranking?
The 100 Open Startups Ranking is an annual award that highlights startups and corporations excelling in open innovation. Established in 2016, it is regarded as a benchmark in the innovation ecosystem, fostering connections between companies and startups. The ranking is based on objective criteria that assess the number and intensity of open innovation relationships and contracts, validated by both parties involved.
Typically released in October, the ranking recognizes partnerships that are shaping the innovation landscape. The 100 Open Startups Ranking has become the leading data source on open innovation in Latin America, serving as a platform for corporate-startup collaboration.
Scoreplan’s track record in the ranking

Founded in 2018, Scoreplan has been participating in the 100 Open Startups Ranking since 2020, when it secured the 9th place among Construtechs. In 2021, the company claimed 1st place as IndTech and ranked among the 50 largest open innovation platforms in Latin America. The following year, in 2022, Scoreplan maintained its IndTech leadership and moved up to the top 40 of the continent’s largest open innovation platforms. In 2023, its final year as a startup, Scoreplan once again secured 1st place as IndTech and ranked among the top 4 most innovative startups in South America.
Reflecting on the company’s progress in the ranking, Micael Baldo, Scoreplan’s Marketing Manager, emphasized the pride in achieving new milestones each year:
“Since 2020, Scoreplan has evolved from a promising startup to a recognized scaleup. Now, we are honored to be at the top of the IndTech category and among the top 7 scaleups overall. This journey reflects our growth and impact on the market,” he stated.
Scoreplan’s expectations for 2025
Looking ahead to 2025, Scoreplan plans to uphold its innovative DNA, a commitment that Fabricio Justo, the company’s Commercial Manager, highlights when discussing the expectations for the coming year:
“We are focused on continuing our accelerated and sustainable growth trajectory. For 2025, our goal is to expand our client base further, introduce new innovative solutions, and strengthen strategic partnerships, solidifying Scoreplan as a leading name in business management solutions,” Justo explained.
Additionally, he revealed plans for the international expansion of Scoreplan’s platform. The team sees significant potential in entering new markets and extending its presence beyond Brazil.
With a consistent rise in the rankings, Scoreplan made a major leap in 2024, transitioning to the Scaleup category after previously competing as a startup. To qualify as a scaleup, a company must have a validated business model and be in a growth and expansion phase, reflecting continuous progress and a commitment to market consolidation.
For Scoreplan’s CEO, João Paulo Colleoni, this recognition is the ultimate reward for the team’s relentless dedication over the years:
“Competing in the Scaleup category and securing a spot among the top 7 is incredibly rewarding, as it confirms that we are on the right path. This recognition highlights Scoreplan’s ongoing evolution and its ability to deliver strategic business management solutions,” stated the company’s founder.
